Who is responsible
This site is operated by Yalla Ace-it, from Cairo, Egypt. We are not currently a registered company, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise.
For anything about your data — a question, a correction, or a deletion request — email info@yallaaceit.com or message 0123 338 8702 on WhatsApp. For a concern about a child’s safety or the conduct of a professional, use safeguarding@yallaaceit.com, which is read for that purpose only.
What we collect, and why
When you create an account we ask for your name, email address, phone number, city, date of birth and gender. The email and phone are how we reach you to confirm a booking — this platform confirms every booking by phone, so a working number is not optional. The city narrows which professionals are realistic for you. The date of birth exists because an account holder must be 18 or older.
When you book, you may add a note for the professional. Whatever you write there is passed on, so do not put anything in it you would not want them to read.
If you add a child to your account, we store their first name, last name, date of birth, and optionally a second phone number. Why each one is needed is set out in the minors policy.
What we do not do
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no tag manager, no session recording.
- No tracking cookies. Your login is kept in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in; nothing follows you between sites. That is also why you see no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
- No advertising, and no sale or sharing of your details with anyone for marketing.
- No profiling and no automated decisions about you.
Who can see your data
You can see your own account and your own children. Our admin team can see accounts and bookings, because someone has to confirm them by phone and resolve problems. A professional is told what they need in order to run the session you booked — who is attending and any note you wrote — and nothing else.
Other users cannot see your account, your bookings or your children. That is enforced by the database itself rather than only by the app, and it is checked by a script we run against the live site.
If you are a professional listed here
Profiles are public by design — the whole purpose of the directory is that people can find you. Treat everything on your profile as publicly accessible, including your phone number: it may be reachable by anyone who reads the site’s public data, regardless of any visibility setting shown in your profile. If you would rather your number not be public at all, ask us to remove it and we will.
Where your data is stored
Our database, sign-in system and uploaded images are hosted by Supabase, whose servers are outside Egypt. Using this site therefore involves your data being transferred and stored abroad. We use no other third-party service that receives your personal data.
We also use Google Search Console to see how the site appears in search results. It reports aggregate search statistics — queries, impressions, positions — and receives no personal data from us.
How long we keep it, and how to have it deleted
We keep your account and booking history while your account is open, because a booking record is what lets us answer a question about a past session.
To have your data deleted, email info@yallaaceit.com from the address on the account, or message us on WhatsApp. We will delete it within 30 days. This is a manual process carried out by a person, not an automated job — which is exactly why we are committing to a timeframe we can meet rather than claiming an instant one. Deleting your account deletes your children’s records with it.
Your rights
Under Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2018) you may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, withdraw a consent you previously gave, and complain to the competent authority if you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request.
Ask by email and we will not make it difficult. If we cannot do something you have asked for, we will tell you why rather than ignore it.
Changes to this notice
This notice carries the date it took effect, shown at the top of the page. If we change something that affects you materially — a new recipient of your data, a new purpose, a shorter or longer retention period — we will update that date and, where we hold your email address, tell you.
