Sports Physiotherapists in Cairo & Giza
A sports physiotherapist assesses and treats injuries that affect movement, then rebuilds the strength and control needed to return to sport safely. They are the right first call for pain, swelling, or anything that has changed how an athlete moves.
What physiotherapists do
- Assess an injury and explain what is actually happening, in plain language.
- Treat pain and restore range of movement through hands-on work and exercise.
- Build a progressive rehabilitation plan rather than a single fix.
- Decide, with the athlete, when it is safe to return to training and to competition.
- Identify the movement patterns that caused the problem, to reduce the chance of repeating it.
Who it suits
See a physiotherapist for pain that has lasted more than a few days, for swelling, for a joint that feels unstable, or after any injury that stopped play. Also worth it when an athlete keeps picking up the same problem — a recurring strain is usually a movement issue rather than bad luck. For a child, treat any persistent pain as a reason to get it looked at rather than trained through.
What a session looks like
A first appointment is mostly assessment: history, movement testing, and an explanation of the findings. Treatment usually begins in the same session, and you should leave with specific exercises to do between appointments — that home work is where most of the progress happens. Follow-up frequency depends on the injury and is agreed with the physiotherapist, not fixed by us.
Questions to ask before you book
- What is your assessment, and what is the likely timeline?
- What are your qualifications and registration, and do you treat this injury often?
- What should I do between sessions, and what should I avoid?
- What would make you refer us to a doctor or for a scan?
- How many sessions do you expect, and what does each cost?
Is this the right service?
Physiotherapy is clinical care, not coaching. A physiotherapist gets an athlete moving well again; a coach then develops performance from there. For a suspected fracture, a head injury, or severe pain, go to a doctor or emergency care first.
